Baktoid Armour Workshop first came into the galactic spotlight ten years before the outbreak of the Clone Wars as a vehicle manufacturer for the Trade Federation. It was merged with Haor Chall Engineering after a failed invasion of a Republic planet, becoming the scapegoat for the Trade Federation's incompetence. For decades the name Baktoid disappeared from the minds of the general galactic populace, even though many of it's designs fought the Republic in the Clone Wars.
Baktoid as we know it now was once a faction called the Sons & Daughters of Freedom, a group of people dedicated to neutrality from the civil war. After time the numerous factions broke apart, leaving only a few members left and having to use an items manufacturer as a front for their activities. When SDF's finally became a government, there was no need for a cover and so the company and it's designs were sold to the Trade Federation where it was renamed to Baktoid Armour Works.
The pinnacle of Baktoids achievements came under the guidance of CEO Metyl Onyx, after it excelled beyond all expectations through infrastructure upgrades, process restructuring and numerous datacard aquisitions by the Trade Federation and Imperial Union. Especially honourable, was the decision by Viceroy Jacob Jansen not to restrict the newly aquired technology from the rest of the galaxy. Next, under the guidance of CEO Takhisis, Baktoid continued to remain the leading items manufacturer, serving the galaxy with numerous personal item designs and ensuring the future success and prosperity of the company.

During a time of change and growing unrest within the galaxy, Centurion Arms emerged from the Damned, a collection of specialists that sought to leave behind the strife of the Black Sun and become known for their own prowess. Centurion Arms quickly rose to its own notoriety by making outstanding weapons that many governments, mercenaries and bounty hunters desired. Smuggling weapons throughout the galaxy, Centurion Arms built a reputation for excellence. A reputation that continues to this day.
As with all things, the time and need for the Damned waned, yet Centurion Arms continued to supply the galaxy with their arms, avoiding the hassle and turmoil brought on by other organizations. Samuel Flagg, then the President and CEO of Centurion Arms worked diligently to maintain the level of quality that Centurion Arms was famed for. Although he did well to keep Centurion Arms growing, he longed for retirement. After several years of working his heart out, he approached the owner, Tara Tylger. It was then that the Virryx Legion was contacted and recruited to assist in the management and dissemination of the company's armaments. As a leader within the weapon producing community, it was the Legion's Commanding Officer who promised to continue the ethical neutral practice of fair trade to all for the right price.
Time marches on and change is inevitable. Under new ownership, and the leadership of Weaponsmaster Vansic Helranth, Centurion Arms further built upon their solid reputation. A large program of inward investment in further production facilities, infrastructure and larger stockholding meant that the customer experience is even better with quicker availability and friendlier service.
Centurion Arms was incorporated into the Avance Coalition and continued to sell to the public while also producing weapons for Avance's houses. Under Avance's blanket and Kaire Nat-Sa's leadership, Centurion Arms developed a distributor program that allowed multiple other groups to handle the sales of their products allowing a more-focused drive towards production.
When the Avance Coalition merged with the Trade Federation early in Year 16, Centurion Arms was brought into the fold of the Trade Federation's Department of Manufacturing. While the distributor program was discontinued, Centurion Arms' products continue to be available through the Trade Federation Market Network.

Driven to Dust
Back in the days of the Old Republic, there existed a group made up of many thriving mining companies that had a firm grip on the galactic market. This group, the Commerce Guild, had an unprecedented amount of economical power at its disposal thanks to its public alliance with the Trade Federation.
However, this power didn't last long. Soon after, the Trade Federation, led by the greedy Neimoidian, entered the Clone Wars and the Commerce Guild, being its ally, joined alongside them and fought with the Confederacy of Independent System's forces. The Confederacy was defeated and the Commerce Guild along with its members and mighty warships were hunted down almost to the point of extinction.
Soon after all traces of the Commerce Guild were wiped out from the known galaxy. But, the galaxy changed and with that change came the rebirth of the Trade Federation under the rule of Viceroy Corbin Esco which completely did away with the old ways of the Neimoidian leaders. The Trade Federation eventually reacquired its galactic status as a galactic superpower and moved its headquarters to the Glythe Sector. It is from here that the Commerce Guild would be reborn.
Reborn from the Ashes
As the Trade Federation continued to grow it branched off into many parts of the known business world. In a bold move the Confederacy of Independent Systems, a safe haven for all business to take place for its member groups, was reinstated.
With the reinstatement of the Confederacy of Independent Systems there came a need to establish a foothold in the mining world. To this extent, on Year 5 Day 199 Nereus Eruresto officially announced the rebirth of the Commerce Guild. Placed under the skillful leadership of former Trade Federation Secretary of Defense Dev Nul and with dedicated members like Andy Skyfighter and Kurner Dahtar on the roster, Commerce Guild was once again propelled into the galactic spotlight as the best mining faction around.
The Building of a Sand Castle
After Dev Nul stepped down as leader, the Commerce Guild went through a period of many short-term leaders. In year 8 Jetsi Seejay was appointed leader of Commerce Guild ending the stint of short-term leaders and ushered in a new age of prosperity. Under his careful supervision a defense force was established to protect the Commerce Guild's ever expanding territorial boundaries, small outposts in the Khomm and Rigneldia were converted into thriving business metropolises, and a price list was set up to ensure maximum profit while ensuring that Commerce Guild continued to sell the cheapest raw materials in the galaxy.
A Legend Departs
After serving as Commerce Guild's leader for quite some time, CEO Jetsi Seejay announced his retirement. During Jetsi's time as CEO the Commerce Guild was at an all time best. Its net worth increased exponentially, more planets fell under its control, salaries were increased, and there were always young hopefuls waiting to join the Commerce Guild.
Following Jetsi's retirement, Vice President Hjrool Ohr was appointed as the new CEO of the Commerce Guild. Unfortunately Hjrool's time as CEO was short lived. Not too long after having assumed the role of CEO, Hjrool mysteriously vanished. After one month without any word from Hjrool, the Trade Federation's Viceroy, Jacob Jansen, intervened and replaced CEO Hjrool Ohr with Vice President Glaeken Trismegestus.
The Castle Crumbles
Glaeken had grand plans of magnificence for the Commerce Guild. His first order of business was to move Commerce Guild's headquarters to the planet Varno in the Varn System. Once complete, a vast construction project was started in the Khomm and Rigneldia Systems.
Unfortunately, despite all of these grand plans, Commerce Guild was becoming a wreck. Glaeken became what many referred to as a ghost. He was rarely seen and when he was, only a few were able to catch glimpses of him. Commerce Guild's member count dropped significantly and as a result it had to close all public sales indefinitely due to the massive delays in preparing current and backlogged orders. The Commerce Guild was on the verge of collapse.
It was at this point that the Trade Federation's Viceroy Jacob Jansen and Duceroy Bub`ba Lou decided that it was time that they intervene. Rather than seeing Commerce Guild continue on its downward spiral, the two leaders proposed that the Confederate Mining Corporation, another highly successful mining company that was part of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, be merged with the Commerce Guild. After a few discussions between the Viceroy, Duceroy and the leadership of both factions it was decided that Confederate Mining Corporation would be disbanded and that all of its assets and members transferred over to the Commerce Guild.
To lead the Commerce Guild into a brighter future, Jamaal Newport, then CEO of Confederate Mining Corporation, was appointed as the new CEO. With both Glaeken and Hjrool deciding to leave the Commerce Guild, veteran Commerce Guild member Kran Chan stepped up to the position of COO. Being a person who always focuses on improving what is needed; Jamaal didn’t waste a second with his plans to restructure the Commerce Guild into a well oiled machine and restore it to its rightful place as the galaxy’s number one mining faction. With such an amazing and talented group of people at Commerce Guild’s helm, it is without a doubt clear that it will not only reclaim the title as the number one mining faction in the galaxy, but also soar and prosper to greater heights than ever before. Commerce Guild’s future looks bright and promising!

Owned by the Trade Federation, Dorinian Military Corps was established many centuries ago when the planet of Dorin and it's inhabitants lived in a time of peace and prosperity. Though, the planet of Dorin was struck hard as an event known as the Great Conflict spread over the planet over an argument of the rightful heir to the Dorin throne. The Talmon family sought for their biologically rightful heir to be placed as monarch over Dorin, yet Barkos Talmon, the monarch of that time, lawfully gave the throne to his other son, Jaala Koon. The hardest hit came several hundred years later, when Talmon loyalists stormed the palace and killed Nekoda Koon, ruler of that period, reclaiming the throne for themselves. The Talmon family gained support and aid from the Trade Federation, who saw the growing droid industry on Dorin as a possible threat. The Talmon's ruled with a harsh fist, striking down all opposition. Dorin's economy hit bottom as the planet remained in chaos.
Though, Vel Koon, ex-Jedi Master and heir of Nekoda, returned to Dorin with a group of loyal Kel Dor and stirred up a resistance group with the Kel Dor population. The Trade Federation, after being betrayed by the Talmons and seeking to right the wrongs of their past, provided the resistance movement with a great amount of financial aid as well as a hardy stock of Battle Droids. Through a series of hit-and-fade battles and gaining Kel Dor support, Vel Koon and his band were successful in overthrowing the tyrannical Talmon family. Thus, peace and order was restored to the wondrous world.
Vel Koon then remained on the planet of Dorin, helping to rebuild what was lost. The first successful re-established company was the Dorinian Military Corps. Dorin manufactured goods are highly sought out in the universe, so the company quickly rose to its original standards. It is now the galaxies top military droid production company, providing a wide range of warfare droids.
Dorinian Military Corps is a Trade Federation branch with a main purpose of producing military droids for Trade Federation and it's nationalized factions. Military droids, except the Battle Droid, are not available to the public. DMC also produces a few other droids that are available to the public and you can check the availability and prices on this page. For all questions regarding droid sales, please contact the faction leader.

IRC Channel:#tf-mop (open to all)
Rendili StarDrive (RSD) is one of the oldest starship-manufacturing companies, dating back to the foundation of the Old Republic; currently it is based in Moddell Sector.
RSD was originally founded on Planet Rendili in the Core Worlds and was closely affiliated with the Old Republic. During the Great Sith War the predecessor of RSD, Rendili Hyperworks, was involved in creation and production of Inexpugnable-class tactical command ship, Hammerhead-class cruiser and Praetorian-class frigate, which was converted by Corellian Engineering Corporation into Class VI freighter.
In the centuries leading to the Rise of the Galactic Empire Rendili Star Systems, a subsidiary of RSD, was involved in the adaptation and incorporation of Mandalorian starship designs into that of Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser.
At the height of the Clone Wars Rendili StarDrive collaborated with Kuat Drive Yards to create the Victory-class Star Destroyer, a ship that was widely used by Galactic Republic during that time.
During the time of transition from Republic to Empire many executive officers of RSD watched with sorrow and shame as the ideals of the Old Republic were left behind one by one. Even as they continued to work with the Empire allowing it to use their vast facilities for the construction of the Star Destroyers, some of them were preparing an evacuation to Rim Territories.
In the first quarter of the SWC year 5 relocation to Moddell sector was finalized and all the affiliations with Galactic Empire were ceased. However the split from GE had serious consequences - many blueprints and facilities were left in the possession of the Empire. After the move to Moddell RSD became closely associated with the Avance Coalition and continues to expand its infrastructure to better serve its customers.
In the beginning of year 16, RSD was merged into the Trade Federation's Nationalized Companies, resulting in a doubling of the size of the Department of Naval Production.

Creation of the Techno Union
For many years the Trade Federation was a bastion of free trade in the universe. No real headquarters they had the freedom to move their cargo as they pleased. Under the expert leadership of Viceroy Corbin Esco the Trade Federation grew and grew and eventually they grew so large that they attained government status. Wars were fought and a base of operations was set up in Vinsoth and the Glythe Sector the former hiding place of the criminal Ace Menshu who the Trade Federation had displaced. Without any more enemies the Trade Federation went about their business, however they now had a problem. Now they were bogged down with not only a planet but also a whole sector of space that they had to protect from possible encroachment. Between protecting the Glythe Sector of space and trying to protect their convoy the Trade Federation realized it was spreading their ships too thin. They had to have more ships. At the same time the Trade Federation had many people working around the clock to design new fighters, freighters and capital ships for their use. Perfecting several designs the Trade Federation wanted to start producing them right away, but another problem arose as they discussed who should build their equipment. It was decided that they could not risk having their technology being sold into other governments or companies hands. The Trade Federation decided in the end that their best bet of getting their ships and keeping their technology to themselves was to create their own factories, or to buy factories. The Techno Union was born under the leadership of the well known and respected Larbac DarkClaw. Larbac quickly brought the Techo Union up to status. Building a class 4 shipyard and many city's and facilities. Late in Year 7, after years of service, Larbac DarkClaw steeped down. To fill his shoes, a newcomer and former Trade Federation Minister Jacob Jansen was promoted to President.
The rise of the Techno Union
With the Techno Union under his command, Jansen commissioned the construction of many Shipyards to be built in the Valrar System. As the Shipyards were completed, orders for Techno Union products, especially the W-23 Star Hauler, flooded in. With the increase in sales, the number of Techno union Employees also swelled, and the Techno Union membership numbers grew to its highest point to date. After witnessing the growth and success of the Techno Union under Jacob Jansen, the Trade Federation beckoned to Jansen, offering him a prominent position in the Confederacy. Jansen accepted, and Krayt Fel was appointed President of the Techno Union. Moving over from his Corporate Alliance leadership position, Fel was an optimum choice for Jansen's replacement. Fel focused the Techno Union on private and military orders, commissioned more Shipyards to be constructed, and helped improve the overall efficiency of the Techno Union. During the reign of Fel, the Techno Union signed a partnership with Starsign Shipyards, establishing the Confederate Shipyards. Both Factions worked together to mass produce the needed ships for the military and private orders that were placed from all corners of the galaxy.
Militarization of the Techo Union
With the Confederate Shipyards in full production, the Techno Union began to shift its focus from the private sector of ship production to the military sector. The new Techno Union left all civil operations to Starsign Shipyards, was reduced to a skeleton crew, left their Valrar home and relocated to a less densly populated area more suited to the demands of military ship production. After a considerable amount of tenacious and tedious work, a functional core of that production base was finally completed and the first few ships began to trickle off the production lines. However, workforce and raw material logistics were no match to the demands of the Trade Federation and the CIS. Fel decided to resign. The leadership was offered to Olwin Froon, a seasoned shipwright who was Starsign Shipyards' COO and Production Director at the time. On Y09 D324, Froon took over what was left of the Techno Union, began to whip logistics and paperwork into shape. After a few weeks, his friend and right hand Vas Felix, Starsign's former Logistics Director followed. Together they streamlined operations and soon all shipyards were running at peak performance, producing battleships for the Trade Federation and affiliates. Unfortunately the Techno Union ran into a severe shortage of members. So severe was this shortage, that the TU was forced to take members from the Trade Federation Ministry of Defense. These members helped, but nevertheless the Trade Federation Cabinet announced that the Techno Union would be merging with Starsign Shipyards simply because there weren't enough members to keep both up and running. It was decided that beginning Year 10 Day 174 both companies would run under the TU banner because of it's roots as a CIS faction. It was also determined that Olwin Froon would stay on as TU CEO, and that SSY CEO Solomon D`ark, would become the new TU COO, replacing Vas Felix who had previously held that position. However D`ark almost immediately stepped down due to what he called "personal matters". Ex-COO Vas Felix was immediately recalled to the position which he accepted gladly. With a major restructuring of the Trade Federation to streamline production and increase efficiency, Olwin Froon was asked to become the Minister of Production of the newly formed Ministry of Production, the Techno Union now with Vas Felix at the helm was integated into The Trade Federation and became The Department of Naval Production (whilst still keeping The TU identity) in the newly created Ministry of Production and continues the work of building the ships that protects Trade Federation interests and keep the wheels of trade turning.
The Future of the Techno Union
The Techno Union has a bright future ahead with an ever expanding member base employing more than 16,000 ship builders, and governs more than twenty seven million beings. For the time being, the Techno Union has very limited public sales while an internal restructure is implemented. While this process is underway the work of increasing our production base continues apace with the construction of shipyards and ships to service these yards. New and experienced pilots and shipwrights are always welcome to join the Techno Union family, and help take the Techno Union brand into the future.
